Location: Forest Town - Nottinghamshire
Client: Forest Town Primary & Nursery School/ Nottinghamshire County Council
The creation of a state of the art space for use throughout the school and in particular for the development of children through a nurture group has been created from an old, run down caretakers house. Special design attention has been given to the way the space will interact with the rest of the school and deliver a first class teaching environment for all to benefit.
"Simon Godson and his team at Concorde BGW have been central to this work, shepherding us carefully through the process from design to completion. Working within a very tight budget and to demanding deadlines they have delivered a solution that will be the envy of primary schools throughout the county.
It has been a pleasure to work with every member of the team. At every turn they have been friendly, polite but above all else, extremely competent. A flexible approach, combined with a rigorous application of health and safety procedures has enabled Concorde BGW to fit in with the day to day running of our school. The safety and education of our children has remained paramount in their thoughts throughout the process.
The work has taken us a long way towards creating an environment fit for a 21st century curriculum. When the time is right, we look forward to working together again to plan and deliver the next stage in our development.
I’m not sure what the BGW actually stands for but ‘Bloody Good Workers’ would seem appropriate!"
